The International Department of the Russian Foreign Trade Academy (the RFTA) is a structural unit responsible for developing international relations and enhancing the university's ranking on the global stage.

International Cooperation. We establish and maintain contacts with foreign universities, research centers and educational organizations as well as conduct negotiations, conclude partnership agreements and contracts. The RFTA collaborates with more than 40 scientific and educational partner organizations from China, Iran, Mexico, Vietnam, India, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, and other countries. Additionally, the Academy is a member of the Eurasian Network University (ENU), the Association of Sino-Russian Economic universities (ASREU) and the Russian –Vietnamese Consortium of Economist-Training Universities (RVCEU).

Academic Mobility. We organize student, faculty, and research staff exchanges between universities in different countries. We are continuously working on the development and launching of new international exchange programs. Students of the Academy have the opportunity to study for one or two semesters under academic exchange programs. Additionally, the Academy implements a double diploma Bachelor program with Beijing Union University (China).
Recruitment of international students. More than half a century ago, the RFTA began educating foreign students when three students from Bulgaria came to study at the Academy. For many years, the Academy has educated citizens from the CIS and foreign countries, including Vietnam, China, Hungary, Bangladesh, Cuba, Mongolia, and other countries. We assist international students in adapting to the new environment, organize cultural programs for them.
Migration Registration. We also support documentation for international students and staff, monitor compliance with migration legislation.

International Events. As part of our collaboration with foreign partners, the Academy regularly hosts events with the participation of foreign guests, representatives of diplomatic and trade organizations from foreign countries. The Academy often holds international scientific conferences. Furthermore, the RFTA regularly hosts events dedicated to different countries, featuring lectures by invited speakers and experts in foreign economic activity, art exhibitions, and workshops for students and teachers.

The Academy is open to new partnerships, joint and exchange programs and educational projects.
