DOCUMENTS FOR NOMINATION
All exchange students must be nominated by their home university via email: rftainternational@vavt.ru.
Exchange students should fill in the Application Form at: https://global.vavt.ru/application_form and submit the Identity document, certifying nationality of the applicant, to rftainternational@vavt.ru.
DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICATION
Please submit the following documents to rftainternational@vavt.ru:
  • Scan of the VALID passport with notarized translation into Russian (The validity of the applicant's passport must be at least 18 months from the start date of the visa and must contain at least two blank pages in order for an embassy visa to be approved;
  • Scan of transcript for the last 2 semesters;
  • Enrollment certificate issued by home university;
  • Nomination letter from home university.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE BEGINNING OF THE PROGRAMME
Documents that a student must have before arriving in Russia:
  • Standard medical certificate, certifying absence of medical contra-indications for study in the Russian Federation with notarized translation into Russian (issued by any hospital in your home country);
  • Standard certificate of the HIV-negative status of the applicant with notarized translation into Russian;
  • Four 3x4 photos (black and white, matte).
Documents provided by the student after arrival in Russia:
  • Copy of the passport with visa and migration card;
  • Medical examination (takes place in Russia) and dactyloscopy;
  • Health insurance policy valid on the territory of the Russian Federation – it’s more preferable to buy it in Russia.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
RFTA provides studies in Russian or English languages.
ORIENTATION
Incoming exchange students may participate in the orientation events that take place at the beginning of each semester. The orientation events introduce international students to the various services and systems in operation at the Russian Foreign Trade Academy. They will get all the academic and practical information they need for their studies: confirmation of course choices, class schedule, student card, campus tour, Residence Permit information, presentation of student associations, icebreaker.
VISA INFORMATION
The RFTA provides visa support to those wishing to come to Russia for signing a contract and solving other issues related to admission to the RFTA. All those arriving by the beginning of the academic year should have stamp “for studies at the RFTA” in their entry visa for further registration procedure.
LIVING EXPENSES IN MOSCOW
Сost of renting a room – begins from 10 500 Rub* per person per month;
Cost of one meal at the canteen – approximately 400 Rub* per lunch;
Cost of public transport monthly ticket (unlimited trips) – 3 000 Rub* per month;
Cost of medical insurance – 5 000 Rub* for five months, 7 000 Rub* for one year;
Cost of migration registration – 5 000 Rub*;
Medical examination – 6 000 Rub*;
The cost of visa extension − 1 600 Rub*;
Fingerprint examination – 1000 Rub*.
*Costs are valid for July 2024 and may change. The RFTA will inform the partner University about the changes beforehand.
