CONCEPT of the project on tourism in Russia and Türkiye with Turkish universities in the 2025-2026 academic year.
This project will include a comprehensive study of the tourism opportunities of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Türkiye through the intercultural student teams consisting of students from the RFTA students and students of Turkish universities. Participants will analyze key tourist services and develop recommendations for the improvement of the tourist experience of Turkish citizens when visiting Russia and vice versa.
This project is focused on the development of an academic cooperation between Russian and Turkish universities.
The project will be held in an online format (a series of online meetings), during which participants will conduct research and prepare final presentations.
The purpose of the project is the identification and analysis of factors, which determine the choice of services of Turkish tourists when visiting Russia and vice versa, as well as the development of a list of recommendations aimed at increasing their satisfaction with the tourist services provided.
Project objectives:
The scope of the project:
1. An Ice-Breaking meeting (acquaintance of participants, formation of working groups, creation of a common telegram (could be discussed) chat, presentation of the cities where the participants come from).
2. Presentation of tourist routes (discussion of existing tourist destinations in Russia and Türkiye).
3. Conducting a survey among the target audience (within two weeks, students conduct research, process the results and prepare interim conclusions). TA - students, their friends, relatives, teachers.
4. Analysis of the survey results (presentation of the data obtained, receiving feedback from university teachers involved in the topic, making adjustments to the materials).
5. Final presentation for representatives of the tourism industry (presentation of the final project presentation and checklist to experts in the tourism sector).

Several teams (3-5 people each) from the Russian Foreign Trade Academy and other Russian universities
Several teams (3-5 people each) from partner universities in Türkiye.
Experts, teachers and specialists in the field of tourism.
Duration: fall semester 2025

Checklist of recommendations for improving the comfort level of Turkish tourists when visiting Russia and vice versa.
Final presentation with key conclusions and suggestions, presented to the expert community.
